AE6JI is an Extra Class Radio Operator, after many years as a General An older Heathkit ham radio. And station monitor/timer.

Personal History: born next to Compton in 1952. My Father was a General Contrator since that year. Over 75,000 homes and most of the Hotels and Motels around Disneyland and Knott's Berry Farm. 
 
Almost electrocuted at age 5, I said to myself; "ouch! . . . what did that? ... so I built many small electricity projects to find out what electricity is. . . built my first Heathkit at nine years old".
 
In my 6th Grade Electricty Class, I ended up teaching Electronics in 6th grade.
 
While at Venice High I had a great Instructor, Mr.Stranton with multiple classes and we did TV and radio repair at the school. We also built and modified Linear Amplifiers for two way radios. Graduated in 1970, when we were told; "Global Cooling" was going to kill us all!
